1) we would be desperately looking for a new manager with about a week to find one

2) it would push back all potential signings

3) the players would think its there fault and lose confidence

*Im as against hughes as anybody and i think his results are not good enough but we should really consider the consequences(no villa)

Good point. Now is not the time to sack him otherwise we'll not get any players in in this window. The players know what is happenning and dont seem to care about the club. We either support Hughes or let the current players carry on with their pathetic attitude on the pitch. By the way I'm not in favour of Hughes or his tactics but agree we need to stabalise things.

How would it be worth it? Suppose we get the special on in. How long would that take, then he'll want to decide who he wants to buy by which time the window will be shut and we'll be left with the shite that played today!

Same thoughts

if the team have played shit all year fair enough sack him . But they havent its when certain players cannot be arsed . Im sick of watching players underperform and the manager get the blame . I hope he stays and come end of january the shit are gone : Then if im wrong im wrong . These players no there going to other clubs 3 months before the window opens . There not told on new years eve .happy new year find a club bollocks . They have been shit for months as Robhinio says " I cant understand where we are in the league with the squad we have "

Do you really think the players are playing with confidence at the minute or have been for the last 2 months? I'm presuming you mean David Villa, there is more chance of Lord Lucan riding Shergar to victory at the next grand national than we have of signing Villa with MH in charge.

A manager getting the best out of the very capable squad we have right now would be a drastic improvement on what we've got right now. Even with no signings.

Hughes tactics and substitutions are I agree sometimes baffling but surely the players have to take some of the blame. Against Blackburn they never started playing until we were 0-2 down. The calibre of the players on the pitch against Forrest should have been enough to beat them but their attitude was disgusting. Do they know they are being replaced or do they care as long as they get their big fat pay cheque!
