Do sky know something?

It does make sense. No-one is going to be able to shift the London marathon and the two events Derby and Marathon together on same day
( and the odd scouser) is courting trouble. If thats the way it is then maybe City will play on a Wednesday if/when we get past Dynamo

FA website has both games down as 15:00 Saturday. Then a disclaimer that comes up 'subject to confirmation'

We know that neither game will be played at this time and date, they just have to put something in as a placeholder.

I can't understand why anyone thinks the London marathon will have any effect, its held nearly as far away from Wembley, as Anfield is from Eastlands, and it isn't usually noted for its hooliganism, and while there will be a heavy security as its a clearly a high profile event, this will be largely done by volunteer stewarding. Also the race is in the morning, and the semi final will be a 4pm kick off as that is the primary slot for TV (incidentally on a different TV Channel).

The single biggest issues regarding our tie will be police considerations, and which channel wins the rights. I'm sure ITV will get it, as advertising will reach more of the audience, and they will want the 4pm slot on Sunday for exactly that reason, so they will be able to pay more than ESPN (unless ESPN get a boost from BSKYB - which is not impossible).

One thing is for sure, the people at the bottom of the list of concerns will be the fans wanting to attend a live game.
