ITV to outbid ESPN? you sure

and the sunday slot is 5:00pm
Yes because its on terrestrial TV, therefore considerably more audience, therefore higher TV advertising revenue.

Are all the Sunday games at 5pm for the FA Cup ? Leicester was at 4pm, and both Notts C at 2pm. I haven't studied TV schedules for that day so you could be right that its 5, but with Arsenal V Liverpool on the Sunday already, I can see that being brought forward to replace our game V Spurs, and ours being in the later spot.

I can't understand why anyone thinks the London marathon will have any effect, its held nearly as far away from Wembley, as Anfield is from Eastlands, and it isn't usually noted for its hooliganism

Traffic on the M1/ M40? It will have a huge effect.

I can't see it having any great effect at all, there's a lot more people travelling into London Monday-Friday, and yes there are some hold ups, but generally everyone gets there every day. Yes there will be increased traffic, but there will be whichever day we play it, and if its on Sunday, as most of us head in, the bulk of the marathon traffic will be headed home. Surely it would affect Stoke V Bolton just the same as City V United anyway.

Can't see why marathon traffic for an event starting at 10am, will clash with football traffic for a game starting at 4 or 5pm, in fact you could run the marathon and attend the game if anyone fancies it.

are the kick off times always tea timeish ?
just with it being a derby game what influence will the police have on the kick off time as in the earlier the kick ,less time to drink and fight, therefore in the interests of public safety etc.. is there a possibilty we could be a dinner time kick off ?
