Do we give too many free kicks away on the edge of our area?

100% yes. And that's something I pondered briefly about even more the Villa match...after the United match where we gave up 2 FK's in very dangerous positions.

Seems like our lads don't know in some areas it's better not to make a challenge but hold the man off.

the likes of Gareth Barry and Micah Richards have always been culprits ,and now we have the likes of Nastasic joining them ...... the one he gave away for Villas 2nd goal today was both needless and thoughtless , and handed a totally outplayed Villa all the incentive they needed to go on and win the game.

Why doesnt hart put a player on the post at free kicks when its obvious the guy taking it is gonna curl it over the wall ?.Nastybitch needs to cut out needless free kicks its crept into his game.

Of course it was a foul. It was similar to the one we got against Hull (foul on Nasri, IIRC). If it happened up the other end, you'd have been screaming for a free kick. We all would have.

We also give away too many fouls from wide positions. Far too many easy free kicks are given away by Zappa, A.K., etc which gives teams the chance to float the ball into the box. We need to work on this as we will always give teams the chance to get back into the game.
