Do we give up on players too easily

Maybe we do get rid too quickly, thought Boateng was awful for us and the fans were all over him. Now seen as one of the best CBs in Europe its strange.

Mangala had some poor performances but he is slightly better than our own version of dumb and dumber - Stones and Otamendi.

Don't get the fondness for Mangala from some (a surprisingly large number)

Have to wonder whether they're aware of the way we play

All the players have faults or weaknesses, even the very best.
Doesn't mean Mangala is a bad player or won't be a success in a different set up.
Trippier is probably the best example, everyone could see his potential but couldn't see him getting ahead of zabba and I think it was Richards at the time.
A move away was best for him and city and I'm happy he has made a success of it.
I think we should of put clauses in his release contract. Paul warhurst always sticks in my mind, so it's nothing new.
I bet the coaching staff who nurtured him at youth level are proud, it's their success too.

I agree

Mangala might, just might, be decent for a mid/lower table team that defends deep and his responsibilities would be nothing more than head it and clear it. Even then, he's an empty head, and likely to lose concerntraion and/or the man he should be marking

I don't think we get rid too quickly, I can't think of many players that have proved City wrong

The pressure to win every game means time is not a commodity in abundance for players or the manager..
