Do we have any believers for a result today?

There is a light said:
Everyone seems to accept that Chelsea will just have to turn up for the three points today but I'm not buying it.

Lescott and Toure will unquestionably have to have their best game of the season to keep their attack quiet but there are definite signs of imrovement there already. De Jong should come back in for Tevez and stick to Lampard like glue and Bellamy and SWP will need to equally cover midfield and attack to support Adebayor who looks more and more like a player who is motivated for the big games.
We would then also have Robinho and the urgency of Tevez to come off the bench. We played similarly to this at Anfield but looked happy to settle for a draw. If we go at Chelsea with a little bit more adventure and belief we can get something today.

Villa and Wigan have proved that Chelsea can be beaten and the atmosphere should be rocking so there is no way we should just accept we are going to get turned over.
Bellamy is a major doubt according to report on mcfc.co.uk yesterday. Hopefully Robinho is ready to step into his shoes. I'd play counter-attacking football, and play Kompany and De Jong in the midfield with Barry if available.

Players like Tevez and Adebayor can grab a goal from nothing, and if Barry plays we can score from set-pieces. Chelsea's weakened side in the League Cup shows that they are taking us seriously. A point would be a good result today

I think we can win, we beat them at there finest a few years back when we had a poor side so now if our very good side turn up and play as well as we can i dont see why not

We can do it. Don't forget the 'Typical City' effect works both negatively and positively. Whenever we're written off, not got a chance, chances laughed at by the media... that's when we pull something out of the bag and do the unexpected. Our motto should be expect the unexpected.

Lots of examples over the years but I guess the easiest to think of are the last derby at Maine Rd and the 1989 5-1.

Very true. For me the Munich derby was the most unexpected of all though. I was there on someones ticket who wanted to avoid the fuss of the minutes silence etc. I don't think he'd considered for a minute that we would win. I wasn't complaining though. If today is half as good as that day there will be some hangovers tomorrow!
