Do you care that we are hated?

so does the circumference of darkness surrounding it......

After over a year now of constat abuse by all levels in the media, do you care?
I have now got used to reading the shite reports and hearing the ridiculous coments from the so called "professionals" within the game. In all honesty I rather like it because we all know its all born out of jealousy and therefore we are not everyones favourite second team, we are no longer the jokers.
Yes everyone is waiting, expecting and wanting us to fail, but it seems to be making us stronger. Not only the team but the fans aswel.
Will any pundit come out and say, I was wrong about city?

also Ian Wright still spouting off about us or has he stopped now it looks like shauns getting a new contract.

I have always said I like the hate and vitriol aimed at city from the media and other fans...I still do. Personally I stopped reading many of the media headlines about us because the articles were never factual and are always written with a particular ideology...city are ruining football/the players are unsettled/mancini is a tyrant/the training regime is too tough....

The journos will be clambering to write positive articles soon enough and I for one won't be reading them, they can shove their opinions up their arse.

not at all bothered

and Martin Samuel is spot on. Can we now kick on and do the business against Newcastle and Blackpool etc? Otherwise it's just typical City raising our game in the big matches and then succumbing against mediocrity.

I don't care that we're hated but I do care about some of the reasons we're hated. We were a classy club and there's absolutely no reason that shouldn't continue, for the last 40 years we've had absolute scum at the top and we should change that.

I think we all like to say we don't care and to an extent we don't as it means we are becoming a threat, only non-threat teams are liked [or patronised] e.g. the assessment of WBA on sat by one pundit was 'spirited' which is patronising, as opposed to quality or better etc etc BUT I think we do all still get fucked off when the media constantly fails to see what is really happening and slates us under false pretense and mis information but that is where we are now. Other fan's hatred is only to be a good thing though and indiocates they are scared, very scared.
PS> Martin Samuel is one of only two journalists I respect, was a bit suprised at the tone of his latest article but Mr Samuel is one of the true thinkers of the game IMO and usually writes qualirty pieces. His general message was correct however.

I prefer the word "feared" with all that implies to the established status quo.But if it actually is hate, then yes I do care(I would prefer respect for all the right reasons.i.e. results on the pitch) but if it has to be so, in turn it will expose all deep rooted bias and predjudice in a football sense. We are actually witnessing this behaviour visually via BBC and MOTD regularly IMO.
