when the old git passed away a couple of years ago I had to finally clear out my room at home, which was like a museum timewarp of my old stuff from when I was at school/poly
city programmes and newspaper specials going back to '75-76 season and a few old shirts including full kit wanker '81 wembley
half a dozen carrier bags of beer mats from around the country/world
coke cans from around the world
boxes of badges
biscuit tins of marbles
stamps (I gave that one up at primary school)
loads of punk vinyl and cassettes, clothes, magazines
letters (do you remember those?) and post cards from old friends and girlfriends
"N" gauge model railway stuff
skateboards across the decades, spare wheels, trucks, thrasher magazines etc
a bizarre double alpha helix sculpture fashioned out of a couple of hundred embassy extra mild cigarette boxes from college (angled double stripe across the front and lid like the city away tops - stick top right to bottom left of the next box so the stripes meet, open the lid, create a spiral)
With a heavy heart and a house already full of four kids and a second wife much of this was dumped. Wish I'd kept all of it now...
