Do you enjoy your job?

think im one of the rare people who actually enjoys his job. cant fault the company i work for either, first class. staying up late tonight off my own back to finish some stuff off for tomorrow as ive got a week off next week for the derby. hows that for dedication.

love my job, boss is an arsehole (me....), present economic climate is shite but at least my sales force are all rather tasty so if i end up seeing them in the office more than i should it isn't all bad.

I left a role as a manager with a large company a few years ago on a voluntary redundancy basis. I kind of enjoyed it but I was working more and more hours and the work life balance was not there so took a gamble. The redundancy paid off the mortage and a huge kitchen extension. I had three months off and now have a field based role that is very lonely after working in an office for years. I don't look forward to it but the hours are good (not set off yet) and the pay is not quite as good but I'm not paying £800 mortgage a month either so better off all round. At the moment though to have a job is a blessing.

Even though I was born on a council estate in wythenshawe to a family of rock solid blues (by the way, anyone who grew up in the seventies round northenden/sharston etc remember all the half sky blue, half red graffiti in the underpasses with city/united "harvo was here" type messages or their rag classmates crying when United went down?), i got into medical school and have spent the past 21 years being a hospital doctor. Bloody busy, loads of exams at undergrad and postgrad level, scary levels of responsibility being on call for all the emergency patients coming through the door, critical illness, death etc but I wouldnt do anything else for the world. So I've got to say a big "yes". I would never do anything else
