Once got caught in a revolving door with Jimi Hendrix.Surely that makes us best mates?

Not sure he's available for interviews at the moment though.

Didi Hamann, he's my mates brother-in-law.

Been out a couple times for a few beers. Last time, we ended up in my local, drinking Black Sambuca. I kept telling him he was a shit dancer, so he kept getting up and trying to prove he wasn't. Gangly German busting shit moves in a local Stockport boozer on disco night. Funny as fuck.

Proper nice fella too.

I know Didi, albeit not well but Our Kid and his family once stayed with the Hamann Family in their Austrian villa; that was before Didi and his first wife split up.

Didi got me comps for a few away games and he got us into the Players' Lounge several times.

Bit of a name drop here, not someone i know, but my Mrs Mum works for Uwe and Franny Lee's son who's called Ricky.

She does all their housekeeping, whatever that involves! Mrs Mum and Dad went and stayed in Franny's sons gaff in Mallorca in the summer which looks amazing.

Going to get a copy of Uwe's book signed by him for my Dad for Xmas.

Did they get theirs from the same place as Elton and David Furnish?

Knew the legendary Rob Gretton for a couple of years.
Not big mates but enough to get permanent guest list at the Hac.

Not seen him in years but some my best friends and I used to know the rock photographer Ross Halfin and he got us into a number of gigs and introduced us to several rock stars.

No but if he was I'm sure he would say it was a life-changer for him as well.

That could be because he died, mate. I used to sit 4 seats from him on the back row of the Main Stand.

I meant Ross Halfin, who is alive and well. The preceding post reminded me about Ross.
