Yes and no, for me. Sometimes it might be better to switch off. Not that this is possible.

When you are desperate to improve weak areas of your team it is a nightmare.

When you already have a good team it is exciting.

So at the moment it is a bloody nightmare.
Finished three points behind the Tarquins. Agreeably boring, though.

I think this comes up on a regular basis, and the question's a bit open ended as it could mean
a) do you like it in a sporting context?
b) do you like the constant speculation these days, exacerbated by social media?
The more elderly posters, ;), will remember the pre-window days where you could buy and sell until the end of March each season.
It could screw a decent season if someone came calling for a top player, equally it could provide potential salvation if you striker did his knee mid-October.
So
a) it's fair to all teams as you know you've got to work with the same squad for all but 1 month.
b) pretty fun watching some of the shit that flies around, so long as you don't get over invested (waits on the Wirtz signs for Bayern this window ;))

It’s better than rich clubs poaching players mid-season, leaving less rich clubs scrabbling around for replacements whilst their owners trouser the cash. Not ideal, and I don’t think there should be a January window at all, except for loan deals to allow for injury crises.

It should last 4 weeks from middle of June to the middle of July, and I think managers should be part of it.

You shouldn't be allowed to part ways with a manager outside of the transfer windows, unless the interim takes charge.

That way there is less nonsense, the game will be a little fairer, less financial waste and players can be sorted before pre-season games properly get going

Oh I love it.
I make myself look like a tool every year by getting giddy if a private jet is flying in from a country where a player we're in negotiations with is from.
I remember when we was in for Gvardiol. I'm sure we was playing in Japan or Korea pre season and the city plane flew out there and this private jet from Croatia was flying into the same airport.
I was convinced josko was on it. I even think I stayed up to follow it. Got all giddy when it landed then a poster on here said he's posted on insta in another country. Felt a proper tool.

But no doubt I'll be following private jets for the next 3 days like some nimrod with nothing better to do.

Always fun to speculate, and for all of the brickbats thrown at people on this sub-forum, using the advanced search function reveals that Bluemoon is actually quite adept at identifying talent long, long before these names have entered the mainstream conversation. Given the thousands of eyes and cumulative years people on such forums have spent watching football, that really shouldn’t be a surprise.
