Do you speak Wokeish?

Are you talking about girls (blocking female sex hormones for other medical reasons) or girls identifying as trans? The physical effects of testosterone, including a deeper voice would not usually be reversible. If they developed an Adam's apple only solution would be surgical procedure that is performed on some MTFs.

Are we now having a discussion about the merits of places like the Tavistock centre? Because that's not what my original post was about, and the topic that prompted it was an issue involving adult healthcare not transgender identifying adolescents.
Just trans ,i thought that was what we are talking about , blocking periods if they identify as male, it is devasting mentally for them to have periods and puberty as a girl, the aim is to stop that where possible

And yet we have young teens going through surgery/medical treatment etc to "block" stuff who then go onto criticize, some years later, those very same places that did that.
I can't remember who was in the news recently but there was someone who went through it and wasn't happy a few years later.
I find it all fucking exhausting to be honest

from the many shows i have watched , as an ex nurse i watch every medical doco going , ten is when girls start pubity , if every one is in agreement they can have puberty blockers , same as boys can , they are reversable

Google delaying puberty, different countries have different rules on ages

For most children, puberty begins around ages 10 to 11, though some start earlier. The effect of pubertal blockers depends on when a child begins to take the medication. GnRH analogue treatment can begin at the start of puberty to delay secondary sex characteristics. In slightly later stages of puberty, the treatment could be used to stop menstruation or erections or to prevent further development of undesired secondary sex characteristics.

While most children take the medication for a few years, every child is different. After suppressing puberty for a few years, your child might decide to stop hormone therapy or pursue other hormone treatments.

The case you are referring to is Keira Bell. She had a traumatic family background and both parents let her down during her upbringing. Her father was distant and not as much involved in her life as he should have been and her mother was a long term unemployed alcoholic.

Seems to have been some cultural or personal issues that meant for mother, having a child who was a (hetero normative) transgender boy was preferable to a masculine lesbian child.

She should have been challenged more about her issues and feelings, particularly as she had learned much of her information about transgenderism from tumblr pages maintained by some of the most zealous of trans folk.

Give the clinics more resources to spend on clinical contact time with patients and these issues would be caught before treatment proceeded.

Absolutely agree. I was really saddened by her story.
