Do you support the RMT?

Maths isn’t my strong point but that is less than the 50% of the available votes that is required these days isn’t it?
50% turnout and 40% of those eligible need to support it, plus it was wrong anyway.

Unison got 14.5% turnout in Jan, as member realise any significant pay increase will mean redundancies as the budget is fixed and declining.

Tony B.Liar has returned from his Crypt to give his followers the semi they crave.

The cunts are as bad as Thatcherites.

His return to the political fold shows more Trade Unions should fuck labour off.

Blair or the Brexit/Farage supporting dial a cliche RMT? Difficult one that.

RMT does not support cunts like Fuhrage.

It has had an Anti EU Policy for around 20 years. The stance is about how the EU has been liberalising transport and shipping throughout the continent at the expense of the workers.

For example the European Train drivers license which has surpressed wage rises in many states.

I understand the stance but didn't agree with the whole Anti EU policy. Theres some fun motions going into our AGM starting tommorow to get that debate going.

It's a debate that can be carried on in another thread.

Meanwhile I'm digging for a long dispute against the government who as well as destroy the railways as we know under "modernisation" want to take out the railway unions with it.

We were the only fuckers Thatcher couldn't beat.

That’s a bit of a simplistic way of linking two completely different things.

Same logic…

Doing without ticket offices? The machines will have to be smarter than what we have now.

Local ticket office was closed, and I tried to help someone book to the airport. It first came up with the expensive single ticket with "advance" an afterthought box at the bottom (you can book advance on Northern a few minutes before departure but not everyone would know that). Then it put up an advance fare for about a third of the ordinary single but for the next train it said no seats left, try another train. We tried them all (chances are no one would check on the train anyway).

Then the ticket office opened and the clerk checked and there was a half-price advance ticket two hours later that the machine never offered.

And neither the machines nor the normal online booking sites nor the apps do the split-ticketing that sites like trainsplit do (using intermediate stations) that the government promised years ago would be possible on all the systems. Not all ticket office staff would do that either.
