Do you think we'll finish in the top four?

We're gonna get relegated as long as that anti-Christ is at our club!

Hughes is spending all our money and purposely mismanaging the team as some sort of United-based conspiracy! The Welsh Mafia are pissing themselves at our club. Didn't you know Hughes has 34 years tattood on his arse?

Bring back Sven, bring back Pearces little donkey toy and bring back falling attendences!

ITK?

I don't.

I've been to every game of the current short season, I've closely watched every aspect of the side; from the defence to the style of play and desire of certain players.

And apart from Liverpool's enormous blip, there has been little encouragement to suggest we could realistically finish within the top four.

If you exclude us, I think the other "wannabes" aren't equipped well enough to mount a realistic challenge either.

We alone are the only realistic potential ball-breakers of the "big four", and from what I've seen I don't think we'll make the grade.

As an insurance policy, to save myself from misery of yet more underachievement and excuses, I put £800 on Liverpool to finish within the top four.

The odds were ridiculous at evens, which (IMO) is astonishing.

So come the inevitable failings of our mediocre manager, at least I'll have a few quid in the bank to cheer me up come May - along with (hopefully) the eventual exit of Leslie.

I consider it a safe investment, almost a guarantee, and I'd point you all in the direction of the bookies, but the odds have now fallen dramatically so it probably isn't worth the risk of a high stake.

All hail Sir Leslie The Third.
Little encouragement when we will go 4th if we win our game in hand and have lost only 1 game?

On balance I don't think we will finish in the top 4, but we are closer than we have ever been, and we do not have a right to finish in the top 4 over sides that have been built over decades.

We should aim to get into the top 4, but if we fail, the conclusion isn't necessarily to change the manager.

Look at Bayern Munich. And I know you will be fed up of hearing this point: How long did it take Fergies to win the League at Utd despite spending very big money?

I did. But Saturday's game against Burnley, as well as Birmingham away, has dented my confidence. I now expect Liverpool to recover and finish at least fourth. Straight fight between ourselves, Villa and Spurs for 5th, 6th & 7th. We've hopefully got Robinho back shortly which should encourage our manager to revert back to the 4-3-3 system which suits us best. Who knows? If we're still there and there abouts come January, we may make a couple of signings to strengthen us further (Yaya is a top player imo), and this may provide the extra momentum we will need in the second half of the season.

That's tantamount to admitting you want us to lose games.

No, it certainly isn't.

We could win the league and I'd still go to bed the same night "hoping" Leslie wasn't in charge the next day.

But then again that's pretty far-fetched, even for my imagination.

No club with ambitions such as ours should have such a divisive manager as its figurehead.

We haven't gelled yet, and Hughes doesn't know his best side and formation. If he gets it right, then I think we will. Our side is man for man better than Liverpool's and we haven't got the distraction of europe.

its not beyond us. i cant see arsenal playing the same way in 2 months time, and liverpool, well what can you say?

that leaves a place up for grabs.

so thats a big fat yes.
