Do you think you would be a better referee

Given the pressure especially, but the pace of the game, the intensity, the man management, game management, split second decisions, controlling your own biases, the hatred towards everything you do, If you had taken the same career path as a PL ref, learnt all they have, taken all the soft skills courses they have had, would you have been a better referee in your opinion?

I got 4 out of 5, the only one wrong was the corner and the player pushing the defender in the back which causes him to handball it, I’d have given a yellow for it (to the attacker).

Not necessary a better referee but I could do a much better job of VAR than those currently employed.

Refereeing is a job that garners faint praise when done right, but pariah status when mistakes get made.
Obviously, mistakes come in levels. Some are just so bad that a good dose of abuse is warranted.
It isn't a job I would want, but I reserve the right to call into question any iffy decisions the referee makes.
Personally more protection should be given to refs by the football authorities. The refs should be mic'd up for transparency. Many folk don't understand the intricacy of rules, so they go off on a tirade.
The main question is why not mic the refs? That in itself would make them more professional sounding and clarify the (sometimes) complex football rules for the hordes.
