pretty sad post. The guy is a City player and we're having posts like this before he kicks a ball! Tell you what, speak to the guys like me that remeber Gerry Creaney. We are becoming spoilt little children some of us, aren't we?

FFS!
It's odd you would bring his name up if you look at their figures they are too far apart prior to joining City RSC 67 goals in 235 games and Creaney 68 goals in 172. The thing that killed with Creaney, is we lost a really fine player(in Paul Walsh)and over 1m that at the time we could not afford to waste. This might seem nagative to some of the people here, but I look at it the other way, IF RSC doesn't kick a ball for City it won't be 100th of the issue it was when Creaney failed, thats a fact. Hughes has started to build a team that can handle the failure of 1 or even 2 of his singings at one time and looking back I recall clearly the times you speak of when every signing HAD to make it or we were fucked, if that makes us spoilt now, I see that as a good thing and long my it continue!

I'm not really fussed about the stats. I watched Creaney. Whatever talent he did or didn't have was wasted in the obvious lack of effort he put in. Okay , so he won us a penalty against Charlton at Maine Road when we losing 0-1 which we then won in the last five minutes 2-1 but I was sat in the North Stand and watched this prick let a ball run out for a goal kick when he very clearly could have stopped it. We were 1 down still then. That, and rumours he brought sectarian bigotry into the dressing room with jibes aimed at Steve Lomas did it for me. Oh, and in my view Justin Timerberlake is a better footballer than he ever was.

Yeah Jesus why is everyone against roque hes a great player who can can score at the highest level he has plenty of CL experience! In my opinion hes the perfect player to bring of the bench in those gritty games when we need a goal! He is also the kind of player who would be great for tough away games! If he is fit!lol

I think your being very unfair, I hear Justin Timerberlake is a much better footballer! I'm not in anyway trying to defend Alan Ball, but as City fans we look on Paul Walsh very fondly(as we should). However, he had alot of history around the footballing world, not least with Ball himself(who had sold him to City in the first place)and it might have been the case he was the only player we could get for him. That being said Creaney was one of the worst players in one of the worst periods of the clubs all time history.
