It's all about marketing. I didn't watch it last time around as I couldn't take to the lad playing the part. Capaldi would be awesome, but it'll either be Beckham or Jamie Oliver!

I'm on holiday in Crete at the moment. My teenage daughters are actually genuinely pissed off that they're here with the unbroken sunshine, beautiful scenery, gorgeous food, swimming pool, beach just across the road etc etc just because they're missing the Dr Who programme. I won't bloody take them again!

By the way, I recall reading a thread about Scandinavians in Crete wearing Utd shirts. Well I haven't seen any but my City shirt will be making an outing tomorrow anyway.

An American actor called Mischa Collins tweeted last night saying he was involved in a big announcement about the UK and phone boxes.

If they want to crack America it could well be a yank. The only one i'd like to see play him would be Johnny Depp.

If they want to crack America it could well be a yank. The only one i'd like to see play him would be Johnny Depp.

That's the guy who plays the angel castiel in Supernatural is it not? though he has been good in that and it would appeal to the yanks I think british dr who fans would go mental, nip onto their forum on digitalspy they are already pissed off that bbc america are showing classic episode on the run up to the 50th anniversary and over here there's been nothing on and that the trailer was shown over the pond and not here. If it ain't Capaldi next fav is the BT advert geek who played Eric Morecambe
