Talking of Thursday match at the Swamp - might have been early '90's for some reason match was on a Thursday.
My F-I-Law had just purchased a new TV with a Sky package. I was really excited because the F-I-Law and his son had never watched a Manc. derby.
Both Stockport fans with a leaning towards Derby County.- and we had a keeper on loan (ours were injured) - think he was from Sheff. Utd.
Can't remember his name but he stopped a good few shots which always rebounded to a Rag. Russian winger got a hat trick - Kanchelski ?.
City lost 5-0 and I had to suffer their crude remarks. Sh*t.....

I have a strong memory that that winter at the old baseball ground we were trailing 2-1 and scored from a corner deep into injury time to 'equalize'.
Clive Thomas said he'd blown for full time as the ball was coming over.
Nobody really knew wtf was going on until we got back on the coach and listened to the radio.

He then did exactly the same thing to Brazil in the world cup (although it was half time not full time). The guy was such a twat.

From the history section I see we did play Derby away on Sat 03 December 1977, so that checks out.

Can anyone else remember this?

It wasn't Clive Thomas who reffed that game at the Baseball Ground, it was Derek Civil - I wasn't feeling too "civil" towards him at the time.

The derby in 92 when Curle equalised with a pen was a rearranged game too, after the initial one was postponed.
I was in New Zealand at the time.... didn't know the game was being played as I didn't know when or if it had been rearranged at the time. Bought a newspaper and read the result in the sports section!
