Does anyone who went to Madrid for the first leg think they contracted the virus over there ?

I remember Piers Morgan receiving all manner of abuse from Liverpool fans on twitter for daring to suggest that their game should be postponed.
It was stupid to proceed, but they were too consumed with ignorance and overconfidence to argue rationally.

Mate I’ve got friends who went skiing to northern Italy for New Year, came back and were off work for a fortnight with “really bad flu”.
It’s only my a personal view, but I think the virus was around in Europe long before the first declared case.

I was badly bed bound around december/january time, I honestly felt this was a bad case of the flu.

I reckon you are right with it being around in Europe longer than suggested

A friend of mine had a heart attack at the Madrid game. In a Madrid hospital for three days, then they said he had to leave because they needed the beds for Coronavirus patients.
The doctor also said don't tell the airline anything when booking the flight, Missed the Cup final, first missed game for 12 years,

I didn't go to Madrid, but i did come down with the virus in March which might have been City related.

I started feeling ill on the 8th March (& not just because we got beat by the rags), aching, short of breath etc... got worse that week & by Friday 13th was wiped out & was for about 10 days. The week before we was at Wembley & early on all this Sky News was reporting on a guy in his 40's who was on ICU who had been to Wembley for the League Cup final & he was convinced that where he got it from. Thankfully he recovered. I don't think i got it from Wembley as i travelled with 3 other people in my car & none of them have had any symptoms & have been fine

However, i did go to Sheff Wed away on my own as my mate couldn't make it on the Wednesday (4th). From what they say it takes a few days for it to start affectin you so i have wondered if that is where i contracted it?

Anyone else go to Wednesday away feel ill a few days after?

...no, but it was noted on these very pages that someone known to have symptoms who was supposed to be self isolating made the trip to South Yorkshire.
