I've explained this in another thread. I'm pretty sure that was the plan and he would have been gone at the end of the season under normal circumstances but there was a show-down, presumably about approaches to other managers, and they had to act quickly.paul_blue said:I think its looking more and more likely that Mancini is a stop gap - and if so, why not stick with Hughes till the end of the season. But then we have to ask why are the players not doing as the manager wishes? No. 1 reason has to be lack of leadership on the field I'm afraid.
I'm not enjoying these performances though, and I'm frustrated because I know we can do much better.
