So where did he agree to complete denuclearisation?
When I read it, it said that he would "work towards the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula". The expression "work towards" means that he hasn't made a commitment to actually do it. There's nothing on verification, inspections, irreversibility or timescales which was a US pre-condition that Trump dropped.
It's a great deal for Kim.
It's all blather, save maybe the POW/MIA remains part. It IS a first step for both parties, true, but Trump shuffled his feet a bit and Kim leapt 50 yards in one try. Enormous victory for Kim. Pictures of this summit will be levered as internal propaganda for as long as he is alive, and used by his kids and their kids to perpetuate family power over the masses.
In the meantime, back here in North America, the one nation who it was literally impossible to piss off, the politest nation on earth -- Canada -- is now enormously pissed off after we claimed their PM was going to a special place in hell.
