Donald Trump

I find it difficult to comprehend that a man with so much wealth, a man who has expanded a business into an empire worth billions, can be so utterly fucking stupid. I don’t see myself ever being able to understand that. A man who has done what he has done, must surely have at least some sort of normality?

I agree with the poster you quoted. I think he’s playing the game. I think he’s appeasing the masses. American people were fucked before he took office, and I think he’s just gaming his way through it.

It’s the only rational explanation I can give. If it’s anything else, then any living cell on this planet could become the president of the United States.
Well for a start his net worth isn’t anywhere near close being worth “billions” and his worth is less than what was left to him by his father. He’s not used a nickel of his own money on any project and simply uses Russian money funnels through Deutsche Bank, which he then doesn’t repay.

You must remember that he managed to bankrupt a fucking casino. An actual casino.

Is there more irritating bitch than that Judge one from Fox news? Her face is something else, the modern witch alike.

The guy can't finish his sentence to save his life:

"Once you get it -- I mean, if you're in the wrong group, if you're -- if you have a medical condition, if you're older -- it seems that older is certainly prime time for this -- this plague, this horrible virus."

At least he didn't say it orangated in China.

I’ve said for years that his public speaking skills are appalling, particularly for someone who has spent their life in business and the public eye

He can’t finish his sentences because he doesn’t know the subject matter but thinks he’s knows everything about everything. So, he’ll start then either trip himself up or forget what he’s talking about in the first place

In all of his CV briefings, even after weeks, he neve looks up from the scrip apart from to say the last word of a sentence or when he starts free-wheeling to tell everybody he’s done a ‘great’ job.

I see he went off on postal voting, and how awfully corrupt it is. This despite there being no evidence that it's above fractions of 1 percent from investigations, and that he himself has used it, and applied for it in Florida.

Also prattling and misrepresenting a case in California led by the (fair and balanced) Judicial Watch. Claimed that hundreds of thousands of fake votes have been forcibly removed from the rolls. Of course, the truth is that no fault was admitted, and while there were a lot of inaccurate names on the rolls (due to house moves, etc), there's no evidence that they were being used for fraudulent voting - the rolls just needed tidying up.

Amazingly (!) the under-fire Rep Colorado governor has been praising the orange one, and taking credit for the 100 ventilators they have been doled out - ventilators as political favours?
Reportedly, others in Colorado got tired of hoopjumping forced by the govt, and arranged a deal separately to get 500 from manufacturers. FEMA got wind of it, and diverted the 100 to themselves!

Who would have thought that the 'greatest democracy' in the world would be this corrupt?

I think it’s Biden’s whatever happens. It’s all about turnout.

I have been saying this all along.

The big big big question is how will the virus impact turnout - and what measures will they put in to further impact it.

The virus is not going to go away completely - by November we will be in to further waves of infections and many will still be scared. To vote in the US you have to stand in line for hours as they have made it deliberately difficult - especially in the communities that would vote Dem. The Republicans could force extra measures to make the lines even longer, we will have to see on that. But even if they just run a normal election and the virus has largely gone turnout will be a bit lower - that helps trump. That said his response has been typically awful and that motivates dems. If it was tomorrow and you ignored the issues around voting amid covid issues then Biden wins a landslide, but who knows what will go on between now and then, its in the balance.

People are forgetting the Russian Troll farms, as detailed in the Muller Report that helped elect Trump in the first place.

Now Biden is going to be the candidate we will no doubt see an increase in Trollbot activity against him, just like what happened with Clinton in 2016.

Biden / Ukraine....

But i think that activity has a ceiling. There are only so many dumb fukcs who absorb it and get motivated by it. As you say they were very effective in getting the Trump voters out in 2016 and I assume they will do the same again. But the Dems have way more potential voters they just need to get them out. Hilary failed to get them out.

I think there is a push pull. The reality of Trump is a push and the Biden campaign have to generate the pull. The impact of the Trump push on Dems voters motivated to get him out is the big difference over 2016. Back then Trump was an outsider and many just assumed he would lose and therefore didn't vote. This time round they assume he will win unless they vote and that difference alone swings it enough for me. But like i said who knows what will go between now and then.

It will certainly be interesting.
