Also worth noting around 130m Americans believe the earth is 6,000 years. Large numbers don’t mean a great deal.

And as I’ve said, it’s not a right or left issue, I’m right wing but the guy is morally bankrupt and a **** to put it mildly. And I’m talking about Trump rather than his scientist backer in this thread.

Oh I'm no Trump supporter. I'm talking about a recognition of why people voted for him in the first place (I don't know the answer, and I'm not about to point fingers). But the thing is, he might actually win again next time. After everything. So why? What is he doing that's gaining approval? I can't see it being the missteps or the crass statements, that can only ever be negative. But something is. And the Democrats need to put their fingers on why.

I do find him horribly fascinating to watch though. With some of his foreign policy stuff I don't know what terrifies me more - diplomacy via Twitter, or that diplomacy via Twitter sometimes appears to work.

Can see Trump gaining another 62m or so voters but would be surprised if the Dema didn’t manage to find someone that couldn’t end up with 68-72m

In the states that matter most . . . Especially Pennsylvania, but also Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin . . . and maybe Florida, but I doubt it goes blue.

It's a one way street if you want Trump out of power at the next Presidential election. You need people who voted for him either to vote for the Democrats or not vote at all. And once again, you call those people "ignorant racists". Way to go to encourage them to vote differently.

If you can't comprehend why people voted differently to you, you'll never understand how to persuade them to your side. Calling them names will thrill Trump. You're a fantastic asset for him.

And lastly, if you truly believe all those who voted and will vote for Trump are racist extremists, then the United States has far, far bigger problems than the silly man.
