They have to sort out the nomination before the general election, which is the issue the analyst is speaking to, as there are currently very deep divisions in the party, especially when it comes to Sanders Buttigieg, and Biden (who in some ways is a Clinton surrogate). That’s not even including the Bloomberg factor or Warren or Klobuchar supporter’s possible responses to a Sanders nomination.I thought it was obvious that the Democrats need to unite behind their candidate, and have the time to work out how to sort their nominations out after the election.
It is a real possibility that significant portions of the Democratic Party do not get behind the eventual nominee, but the analyst is trying to make a case for why doing that with conviction will lead to a landslide victory for the democratic nominee based on the political data they are analysing.
And such a landslide, which would be beyond even Trump and co’s ability to tamper with to turn in to a victory for him (without it being very, very obvious), meaning Trump is even more likely to reject the results of the election as fraudulent to avoid leaving office.
