I’d be curious as to your opinion as to why Trump is so intent on Bernie winning the nomination. Is he just so colossally stupid politically that he is trying to get a sure fire winner to be his opponent, maybe the largest miscalculation since Hanna and Teddy Roosevelt? Does he secretly want to be defeated so he can go back to his life of golf, debt and fucking small businesses and minorities in the ass? Does he identify with Bernie in some way — maybe there’ll be a place in the Sanders cabinet for him (as, maybe, Secretary of Health and Human Services)?
Would love your thoughts.
To be honest, #45 is approaching all the potential opponents with a scatter gun approach, in fact I would say smoke screening the whole thing.
I have mention of him 'loving to be up against' Warren, Buttigieg, Biden, Bloomberg and Sanders. ALL of them cannot be true!
Warren has her own problems with flip-flopping between parties, with exaggeration in her experiences personal and political.
Buttigieg has problems with the running of Southbend, with lies about the support he gets from the Black community, in plagiarism, from changing his mind from supporting Sanders to opposing him and having 50 billionaires donating to his support currently and a total lack of experience in almost anything.
Biden has problems with lying like being 'arrested in trying to see Nelson Mandela and being thanked by him personally for trying' when that never happened, he did not simply compromise with segregationists in the bussing problem — he also led the charge on an issue that kept black students away from the classrooms of white students, with forgetting shit and with the Hunter Biden controversy.
Bloomberg has problems with his policies from the open racism of exacting 'stop and frisk' against Black and Brown people yielding a very tiny amount of 'success', his ties with China, his NDA issues with 60+ women, his ties with the GOP party up until about 3-4 years ago and his own admission that he
Sanders has problems with making a bad vote on guns (more of a complicated Vermont issue) that he apologised for, having honeymoon in Russia and making a case that Cuba has a better educational and healthcare plan than the US.
So, you can pretty much pick your poison about whom you think #45 would find more issues to run against from the 'problem' list above.
