I think the cleanest case would be SDNY's on fraud/tax evasion, either defrauding the IRS, his banks, or both. I am about 99% certain he provided different sets of financial statements to Deutsche Bank and the IRS. Ergo one and probably both are lies, and so either fraud, tax evasion or both. As I've mentioned once in a while, I have a very specific reason for suggesting this too, based on a particular experience I know about from the 1990s as the son of a particular real estate banker, among other things, so . . .
