I don't see why there would be a resignation before about Jan 6th anyway, when Congress count the Electoral College votes. It only comes into play when he is confirmed as having lost.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying the pardons are a good thing. It's actually reminiscent of the power of medieval kings rather than a modern democracy, but then again so is the death penalty and the right to bear arms I suppose...

If he did pardon himself without being charged, could that ruling then be overturned leading to him then being charged for the crime for which he pardoned himself? That would be sweet irony.

Indeed, but the Biden camp would probably be better off keeping that one in the back pocket as a permanent lever to use against trump in the future lest he decide to go down the info-wars route and incite naughty stuff.

Don't know, but I think it unlikely as that would require one of the tripartite state to overrule another's powers.

Agree. I just rather liked the idea of him being hoist with his own petard.
 
Why do they do it to themselves. There will be so many adult sized desks in there... why choose a kids one and a tiny chair? Amazing... Is he trying to make himself look big and powerful?
