The Irish Peace Treaty was 1921.
I presume you are talking about the Belfast or Good Friday Agreement, which is also referred to as the Irish PeacAgreement by some.
Do you understand the GFA?
I know I’m Irish but I don’t think it’s just Biden and I don’t think it’s just appeasing Irish Americans.
The Americans, particularly the democrats see it as a great achievement that they helped broker. Senator George Mitchell was instrumental in overseeing the decommissioning and the diplomacy between all factions not least the paramilitary elements and extremists from both sides.
Clinton himself intervened with phone calls at the 11th hour to assure opponents on both sides of the divide that America would support them.
It is seen as one of the most altruistic pieces of American foreign policy, where they normally are looking after their own interests, in foreign interventions.


The text of the Good Friday Agreement was included as part of a Treaty between the British and Irish Governments lodged with the United Nations as a binding Agreement under International Law.

Now if you wish to discuss your knowledge of same, I’m up for the debate.
I’ll politely suggest to you that you are misreading the importance of their part in the GFA to normal American diplomacy.
Maybe you’re hoping Trump would have a different angle on it, if he knows what it is.

It’s only the step taken when it is obvious someone is on the wind up and has no interest in a good faith discussion.

When they are just here to derail the thread spouting nonsense to instigate others in to punishable behaviour, attempting to educate them is a futile endeavour in feeding the beast to ward it off.
