Donald Trump

I mentioned a few weeks back that my work mobile number somehow go onto a maga mailing list and I’m getting bombarded 10-20 times a day with desperate pleas, always for money, of course. I take the increasing desperation as a sign of their weakness. This afternoon I simultaneously received three separate texts, that read as follows;
1. maga is losing in the swing states and desperately needs my (monetary) support
2. The red wave has started!
3. The Democrats have unveiled their ‘October Surprise’ which, among other incredible feats of strength and devilments, includes rolling out, in the last 24 hours no less, over 40 new radio networks in 20 different states, all with a liberal bias.
The contempt in which maga holds the intelligence of its audience/ marks, is quite outstanding.
To be fair, I am on my wife's Kamala list (it's complicated, don't ask) and I have been getting texts -- several a day -- with much the same message . . . "We're losing PA!", "Help [random Democrat running against MAGA schlub in XXX state] win!", etc.; most asking for money, some for volunteer help.

All part and parcel of the season I'm afraid.

All I am getting is “Hi, this is Kamala…” and “Haven’t see you in awhile—could you share a recent pic?” and “You need to act now to renew your car warranty!” messages from random numbers.

Ironically, they likely all involve someone with Indian heritage. Poor bastards.
Better than what I get from some random Prince!

They don’t want his vote, they want his money.

Make America Grift Again
I’ve learnt so much about America from these topics, much more than the interaction with the Americans that I’ve worked with.

Can one assume that this is specific to Trump, in the fact that money comes first, vote comes second? I understand that both are hand-in-hand, but surely previous campaigns, prior to 2016, were about the vote?

Do they not just ask you to vote?
The couple I’ve bothered to click through on don’t ask that, so much as say something like “President Trump will be personally reviewing the results of this survey! Confirm your loyalty to President Trump and his America First agenda!” Then give you two options that read “YES!! I’m a true patriot and will be voting for President Trump and putting America First!!!”, or “No. I’m with Comrade Kamala”. It’s kinda pathetic, really.

That last one is actually fucking hilarious.

“How do we get the vote out? Social media? Email campaign?”

“No… How about we set up 40 entirely new radio frequencies. And these radio frequencies will host stations that are pro-Democrat. Of course we all know how much of the US population in the next 24 hours will be searching for new frequencies on their wireless, and then when they’re met with a voice they don’t recognise saying “Vote Harris” they will literally have no choice but to do what they say! There’s basically a captive audience out there waiting for us. This plan is fool proof.”

It reminds me of this:

Certainly divisive, can see these sort of tactics coming our way soon. With the links from the US to our political influencers, such as Tufton Street, it’s only a matter of time.

To add to that excellent skit…
