I take it the Lord is not an absentee English Lord. But it's a British title so does everyone in the locality still defer to his lordship?

There are two castles and two Lords in the vicinity. I won’t name them. But neither are or were absentee landlords.
The lodge my family lived on belonged to one such aristocratic family that can trace their ancestors back through a long line of Catholic historic figures, one in particular would be seen as a martyr in Irish history, so I don’t think there’s any ambiguity about where their allegiances lie or what their standing in the local community is/was.
Certainly the present Lords father was seen as a bit eccentric and a fantastist short story writer.
An oddball in country parlance but the present Lord is well received.

I don’t think titles like that mean as much over here as in Britain.

Anyway! Back to Trump, speaking of oddballs.

I simply can't fathom how people are still falling for this shit. Trump used the COVID situation as an excuse to do more press conferences (an excuse to get on TV for political campaign purposed). It was an absolute fucking horror show and a shitshow of crackpot ideas like 'drinking bleach' or 'sticking bright lights up your arse'. A bet Deborah Birx wishes she'd never agreed to spew misinformation for Trump.
