In other news...apparently Macron invited Trump to the official re-opening of Notre Dame and he's going this Saturday.
Macron was the first foreign leader to congratulate Trump after he became just the second US president to win a nonconsecutive term, writing on X on November 6th: “Congratulations, President @realDonaldTrump. Ready to work together as we did for four years. With your convictions and mine. With respect and ambition. For more peace and prosperity.” Later that evening, Trump and Macron spoke by phone, Macron’s office said.
The reopening ceremony this weekend is expected to draw some 50 heads of state and government, Paris’ Police Chief Laurent Nunez told The Associated Press.
No reports on whether honest Joe Biden, currently hiding out in Angola, was invited though AP is saying that upon learning Notre Dame was re-opening the president replied "Come on man, that schools been open all semester. Go Irish!"

Trump aims to hold a year-long celebration from Memorial Day 2025 through July 4th, 2026 and hold the "Great American State Fair" on the Iowa state fairgrounds, featuring pavilions that will "showcase the glory of every state in the Union."
"As we chart a course towards the next 250 years, let us come together and rededicate ourselves as one nation, under God," he concluded.
Folks have been working on this for years. Prediction 1. Trump will insinuate he's the one responsible for it all. 2. Democrats will cry about it being a disgrace Trump is POTUS at this time.

He might put on a powdered wig and pretend he's George Washington, Elon Musk can be Davy Crockett. Let's just understand that the version of American history Trump will be celebrating isn't one that's shared by all his subjects, including this one who spent 30+ years getting kids to think critically about our stories and not just recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
