Donald Trump

Do you agree with his stance on vaccines?
Perhaps he's had some strange opinions.on vaccine . I've certainly had complaints about his view cis a vis vaccines Maybe. But, there is so much I agree with:

1. I agree with his position on processed foods and the presence of chemicals that the FDA allows in those food that Europe has long since banned. I'd like our children to be more like yours on the issue of obesity.

2. I agree on his worry with the prescription of SSRI's and the levels of over-prescription to children. The higher incidence of depression related to over prescription and diagnosis.

3. His concerns about the corrupt nexus between FDA officials and Pharmaceutical companies and the need to return the FDA, USDA and EPA to a primary role of protecting the people rather than serving as stepping stones to a lucrative lobbying job, I especially agree with.

4. I agree with his shifting agricultural subsidies towards funding that supports regenerative practices. And a push towards zero waste cycles in agriculture production.

Below is what he believes his mandate will be if confirmed.
I

I don't have much issues with any of that...
@HelloCity see above. Let me know which one of you disagree with.

I imagine most Americans are unaware of the measles outbreak in Samoa back in 2019 and that RFK Jr played an influential part.

The man has never acknowledged his responsibility or ever expressed regret for his role in it.
Again, every time I read into the topic as it was first brought up by a host on Rising, the less I see.

It seems to be a lot of "guilt by association". What I've mostly found is that RFK and his Children Fund are generally skeptical of vaccines and this would like to follow a more stringent set of rules to study the effects of vaccines after vaccine programs have been implemented.

I'm not so sure I disagree with that.

I don't know what sources you're reading, but I'd recommend reading any reports that interview those working in Samoa at the time. The issue here goes beyond "guilt by association" it’s about the real impact that influential voices like RFK Jr have on vulnerable communities.

In Samoa, where vaccination rates had already dropped due to a tragic incident, his influence and 'skeptical stance' on vaccines amplified existing fears. He helped fuel further vaccine hesitancy at a critical time (after his visit he wrote to the Samoan PM suggesting, incorrectly, that the outbreak might have stemmed from a defective MMR vaccine), creating conditions that allowed measles to spread rapidly.

The impact of his messaging and his support of other anti-vax personalities in the region had devastating consequences in an environment where robust public health messaging was urgently needed.

Is he responsible for the outbreak? No. Did have an influential role in it getting worse? Yes.

There are quite a few things I agree with RFK Jnr on, but his skepticism over vaccine safety is dangerous and reckless and poses a serious risk to the US. His stance undermines decades of scientific progress and endangers the public's confidence in vaccines, that could potentially (and most likely will) expose communities to preventable diseases and create a public health crisis

If a game was played where the least suitable candidate for any role was the objective, Trump would win it hands down.
Gaetz, Gabbard, Hegseth and now RFK. WTAF!
He’s not even pretending to do the job properly. Absolutely crazy.
What position in DT's cabinet is the My Pillow Guy going to get?

Pretty sure the two currently tapped to run the Department of Government Efficiency need help...

In the interest of efficiency, I predict that Sleepy Angry Pillow Dude will become the third co-leader of DoGE - leading to an even more efficient efficiency bureau in charge of efficiency.
