Sorry but with the quality and quantity of players we have at the club the performance today was poor.Today we were 5 players short who would normally have played. They were at full strength. If we meet in the Champs final we will win, trust me.
I would rather player a team of young players who would run through the proverbial brick wall than play players clearly physically and mentally tired.
We also have imbalances in the squad and relying on Fern for the last two seasons has cost us dear, he simply is not physically capable anymore, it cost us a Champions league final last season and it could cost us at the end of this season. Rodri and Silva are running on empty.
And the lack of a top class striker is an obvious problem, we all know the reasons , hindsight is a wonderful thing but would we have been stronger paying the fee foe Kane and leaving Grealish well alone?

Well, today it would have been Jesus when 1 on 1 with the keeper, or Jack when he took an extra touch with a clear shot on goal, or the deflection over the top when Ferna hit one from about 12 yds out after Ake nodded it down for him….so, yes, a little more clinical in front of goal and this game is won, not lost!!!As long as we win the league I don’t really give a shit to be quite honest,
And I wouldn’t really care about that either but I just don’t want those cunts getting the domestic treble.
the issue we’ve got is where are those clutch goals gonna come from?
And that’s why we play the games…because stats are there to be refuted and revised! Can’t tell you the number of teams or players that break some kind of streak against us.
But then, we probably get more managers sacked than any other club!

is anyone seeing similarities with last season and chelsea?? Played weaken teams against them losing twice and hoping to psych them out in the champions league final and erm it didnt.

I know some folk probably see me as a ‘Pollyanna’ (never see anything wrong with our team) but I promise you I’m trying to see the positives after all the years in the wilderness. :-)
Right, having got that out of the way may I please say that I still believe, and will carry on believing, that I support THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND IN ALL THE WORLD.
It was a bad day at the office yesterday, and I’ve got to speak to my Liverpool supporting son today, but I’m still believing we will win 2 trophies.
To me any trophy, any win, is like a Christmas and Birthday gift every week. :-)

You look at tevez and aguero, and even dzeko, they were born goalscorers that’s what they did. You don’t get that same impression from any of our front three

Personally if we win just the league this year I would be more than happy, to me its the true test of a team over the season & in my book is far more important than all the cups put together, just my opinion.What if we play them in the CL final ? The League win alone will not do.

I'd rather win the league and lose to Real Madrid than win the League and lose to Liverpool again in CL final.
