Im really looking forward to the new season and the summers friendlys have shown us that the likes of razak and suarez are improving so the squads looking strong. But
im concerned that we are lowering are sights in the transfer market we started of looking at hazard, de rossi, van persie, daniel agger and numerous other big names. And now the names being touted are sinclair, kjear and other low profile signings.Dont get me wrong these players are probably very good players but are they good enough for a team thats just won the premier league and would they be better than we already have.Id rather if we miss out on the real quality players just to bide our time and pounce when players become available rather than signing players just to appease supporters.

In all honesty though we've always signed players who looked the part rather than performed at the highest level. We're not PSG and we don't buy the most accomplished pinnacle stars. Lescott, Kompany, Zabaleta, NDJ, Milner. Our only big buys were Yaya and Silva.

I'd say we're always going to look at player who fit a system rather than a FM handbook.

City sign players that suit the system, this isn't Fm/Fifa 12

if the likes of Scott Sinclair would suit our system more so than say Hazard and Bobby thinks this then we'll sign him...

But saying that - Nothing is concrete yet, it's clear what our issue is, we need to get rid of our "deadwood"

The clubs with these big named players won't want our deadwood, but clubs like Swansea might... This is why journo's are linking us with smaller clubs players.

Thinking we'll just go for a lesser named player to get rid of a bigger problem deadwood.

As said though - nothing is concrete yet and nada has happened except probably the best signing of the summer, including Chelsea signing Hazard - We signed Mancini on a 6yr contract (and I don't mean his son)

I'm sure Bobby would have loved us to buy the "most accomplished pinnacle stars" now we have won the PL, and maybe he expected that?
However FFP seems to be determining our transfer policy for the future.
