I see now that Kaka is dead in the water everyone has moved on to the next superstar for us to sign.

David Villa is the most contemplated, along with Tevez, Diego, Benzema, Drogba, Terry etc. Don't get hung up on these - you will only feel let down again. Be happy with Bridge Bellamy and hopefully De Jong. No other prem club has strenthened in 3 areas like we are looking to do. All 3 improve the starting 11.

If we get any more in such as Given then all the better, think we lack an experienced keeper.

Be happy with what we have done so far. Don't pin your hopes on a megastar. If one happens then we will be happy then but all this speculation is just snowballing and we're just building up to another kaka type situation where we will be left disappointed

Was thinking the same. Now Kaka is a no no most people have just mvoed onto David Villa with the same old bullshit. It's fucking bizarre, do these people not learn?

Work on the assumption that there won't be a superstar signing in January, there's potential for Summer, but I would imagine January is a lost cause on that front. Our efforts will have been concentrated on one player only, Kaka, we'll have been intent on making that work so won't have invested too much time in other potential superstar targets. Villa, Diego, Aguero, whoever may join in Summer, or they may not, I'd be astounded if they joined in January.
