atletico madrid

benfica
liverpool

fc twente

your telling me these teams arent worth playing in a european competition?

could you please tell me what "also-rans" means, ive never heard of it (im assuming it means a second rate team). if thats what your sayin, your talking absolute crap. the teams i menioned in my previous post are absolutely massive especially juventus, hamburg and benfica, those teams have a lot of european prestige.

By also rans I mean clubs that did not fare well in the race for success in the CL. It means those who never made it past the group stages or weren't quite good enough to qualify at all.

To think where we have come from over the past ten years and fans are saying they don't give a toss about us playing the likes of athletico Madrid, juventus etc is absolutely shameful.

Trips to hamburg, schalke, midjttland were probably three of the top five highlights of my experiences watching City and I personally can't wait to experience it again next season be it the champs league or europa.

You only had to watch the scouse match to appreciate what the Europa league has to offer. Great atmosphere, world class players. If you don't want city to experience nights like that, well it's bizarre.
