There is plenty of information flying around this forum in various threads. Just get your flights and hotel booked and I'm sure you'll find out where the City fans will be hanging out closer to the time.

For the pre-season game the other year we stayed in Dusseldorf; you can fly there.
The train to Dortmund is cheap and the main square where City were in a pub is a short walk. You then get the train from Dortmund centre to the ground included in the match ticket price.
In dusseldorf, go to the old town where there is a street full of bars. its a great night out and I'm sure plenty of blues will be doing it. We are!

cheers that

If you're happy to fly from London, can still get returns to Dusseldorf for £76, either out early doors on the Monday or Tuesday morning, coming back Wednesday afternoon. Looking at closer to £150 if you want/need to fly from Manchester.

Edit- can also fly out Monday afternoon, back Wednesday afternoon for that £76 price. It's with Air Berlin, which I believe (but correct me if I'm wrong!) is a more full service carrier than your Ryanairs and Easyjets, so might include a suitcase and inflight refreshments.

You should visit "Alter Markt" in Dortmund, where the fans meet.
Video shows last years visit of Arsenal supporters.

An Arsenal fan from Belgium - bet he's a laugh a minute!

Get on Spikes trip mate. You won't regret it

You can fly from Leeds Bradford to Dussledorf Weeze with Ryan Air for £15.99 each way. If there are a few of you just get a hire car from there or the train. Its about 120km to the Stadium from Weeze.

You can get it for them prices but not whilst City are there, more like £160!

Ive just checked and its actually only £19.98 if you want to fly out from Leeds Bradford on either 01/10/12 or 03/10/12 and back on 05/10/12, however if you do decide to fly on 03/10/12 you will be landing at 1610hrs which only gives you a 3-4 hours to get there but it could easily be done with a hire car.

Another Option:

1. Coach or train/taxi to Leeds Bradford airport.

2. Fly out on the 04/10/12 from Leeds Bradford to Dussledorf Weeze with Ryanair £9.99

3. Taxi to Weeze train station then the 1745hrs train from Weeze to Dortmund Stadium which arrives at 2000hrs. I dont know the cost but there are two changes en-route.

4. Game starts at 2045hrs.

5. Overnight stay in Dortmund.

6. Take the 1245hrs Train from Dortmund to Frankfurt Hahn on 04/10/12 which arrives at 1650hrs. I dont know the exact cost (approx 40 euro) but you will need to change from the train to bus at Koblenz.

7. Take the 1820hrs flight from Frankfurt Hahn to Manchester T3 which arrives at 1855hrs. Total flight cost £9.99

Ha Ha, i feel a right tit. The wife is pissing herself!

Not only that but who in their right mind woul risk a journey like that which only gets you to Dortmund station 45 minutes before kick off. I am not sure I would risk getting to Mcr Picc station 45 mins before kickoff and I only live 14 miles away.
