Dortmund v City 1500hrs on BT Sports and City +

Pity, after being 3-1 up, looks like we ran out of steam and ideas in the second half. Great first half though, aside from the first 4 mins.

Yeah, annoying second half, but they always looked dangerous on the counter attack. Very much like a Liverpool vs City game.

Should have won, but didn’t.
Dortmund had three shots on target and, er, three goals! Bit disappointing that yer let a 3-1 lead slip but we are in the knockouts which is what the club was after.

They had other decent chances like the one on one in the first half though.

Shots on target doesn’t always tell the whole story. It also makes van Sas look poor when in reality he had no chance with any of the goals.

I'm not certain what the statisticians count as a shot on target. I always think it's a shot going in that only the goalie stops or one that he doesn't. Blocks and one on ones might not be counted as shots on target. But three out of three does make the goalie sound as though he's not up to much, and van Sas is not too bad at keeping them out.

When you see the goals, you’ll quickly spot that he’d have needed to be 8 foot tall to reach any of them.

galvez struggling already
I don't think you can just pin the blame on Galvez for their first goal. Jadel didn't need to pass as hard as he did making it difficult for Tom to control the ball. And Fin lost his man on the cross that allowed their striker to head home. So the goal really didn't come from an individual error and to be fair it was a really well taken header. I guess we need to be more alert from the start but thankfully, we kicked on from min 4 and played some really entertaining football and deserved to win the match at the end.
