Dortmund

8 of us getting the 7am Flybe flight from Manchester to Duss on Monday morning. On the beer/christmas markets all day in Duss then night in Altstadt. Train to Dortmund on Tuesday lunchtime and on the beer there followed by the game and more beer. Christmas markets again on Wednesday before 2050 flight Duss to Manc.

Can't wait!

The problem with Christmas markets is that it's too cold for beer so you have to drink glühwein. Glühwein is far too sweet on it's own so you drink it with schnapps/rum/brandy etc in it which means you get arseholed very quickly.

Is anybody staying in Cologne?

Does match ticket cover train fare and how long does it take etc?

Cologne is a better night out than Düsseldorf, some great pubs as long as you avoid occasional bar where the clientele all look like the biker in the Village People. I doubt a CL ticket will have the train price covered, it costs about 30 euros one way and takes about 80 minutes, you may have to change.

I didnt really understand that post either, problem with getting drunk?
Monday morn Dublin to Dusseldorf at 7am, day at the christmas markets, then a power nap in the hotel about tea-time before going out to sample the nightlife, meet few flying on the tuesday morn flight in D'dorf then train to Dortmund (have to compare the markets as part of the research of course), then to the game.

Should be a goodun.
