The sale fee is essentially added to the books in full (minus any remaining amortisation) as profit; the buying fee is spread over the years of the contract.

This seems like a relatively easy deal to do - not in favour at Juve so give them a good loan fee, cover his wages and a buy option and it could happen. Would be a good second signing to strengthen the midfield but but underwhelming if the only one?

I don't think we can sign 2 midfielders this Winter. Unless we plan to fuck off one of the greats, which I don't think we are.

You can't have 2 new guys, Kova, Kevin, Berny, Gundo, Phil and Jack all vying for 3 spots.

That's just too many bodies. In the summer when some ( potentially most of the oldies) are moved on. You can bring in a 2nd CM and an AM.

But for now, We need a CM//DM and a RB

Lots of factors. Price in comparison to other transfers the club has made. Also wages.
At Villa he was going to be one of their 'higher' earners; that counts positively to a work permit as it shows he will be a 'key' player.

I always felt that was just some bullshit excuse used to penalise city for the sake of it

He was ours originally but the FA wouldn't give him a work permit to play for us. Hence move to Villa.

The FA don't give out work permits.
