If he can get us into CL spots, they should be able to get a lot more in summer. Should work out nicely for both parties but don’t think we’ll have made any contact.Get gonzalez and get this lad too. Fuck it, get anyone that might have half a sniff at stopping an opponent attack.

Doesn’t sound like we are going for Luiz, but I would take him. Good player who could fill the defensive midfield role with Premiership experience. Would also provide cover for Rodri when he returns and can play further forward too.

Luiz might not be the ultimate answer but bugger me it's an obvious, brain dead open goal easy short term fix in this window.

Obviously Rodri is a unique player but a competent midfield radiates confidence in all directions. It means defensive players have more time to think about their positioning and freak out less, and more attacking players know they will get regular service and don't have to spend half the time worrying about losing possession and then us getting battered in the transitional play.
Luiz isn't Rodri but he is a massive improvement on our current situation.
