I think Bale skinning Maicon is a one off. I have seen Maicon shut down fast wingers. And Maicon is a fantastic defender, and has been for years. Micah has better recovery speed, but he'd probably get beaten more often than Maicon. Who for my money is the smartest defensive Right back in the world.

-- Mon Aug 01, 2011 4:07 pm --

Agree their is no likelihood of such a deal. Not even on Bobby's radar. Defense is set.Mancio said:jjeangi said:No doubt that Maicon has very good technical skills but who is more likely to get skinned for 90 minutes by a pacy winger? Him or Richards? ;)
the both.
richards still is in the bale's back pocket since the first last season game...
Thought this kid was gonna be the bidness first time I saw him play for Inter last summer. But he just became inconsistent and overreliant on the dribble. Still young though. So there isa chance. For me that their young RB is who I'd set my eyes on. Tall fast athletic and technical. But seats behind Chivu, Maicon and Nagatomo (as he can play either full back position).doggiesin08 said:Surely Inter have some promissing youngsters we might be prepared to swap deal with like Coutinho.
