Standard Bluemoon response when we get beat. Blame someone else!
No one is blaming him for the defeat but we should be entitled to a reasonable refereeing performance.

He's a c**t Col. It pretty much passed under the radar because we beat West Ham on the final day anyway, but that fat fuck did his level best to try and hand Liverpool the title over at Klanfield last May. The Dippers were 1-0 down when Dowd first sent off Newcastle's Dummett for a completely accidental collision with Suarez on the half way line, and then later awarded Liverpool a free kick on the edge of the Newcastle box after a Suarez dive, which they duly equalised from. Ameobi (well documented as a non-swearing Christian), was then booked for the mildest of mild protests about the dive as Newcastle were about to restart the game in the centre circle, and turning away shaking his head in disbelief, was promptly shown a second yellow and a red, leaving the Geordies down to 9 men......and of course they duly went on to lose 2-1. There was a title riding on that game, and even if you were prepared to accept that Dowd's handling of it was incompetent rather than deliberate cheating, there's still the issue of his complete lack of respect or appreciation for the occasion. The bloke's an utter bastard, one of my most hated officials of all time. Right up there with Mason and Walton

You're obviously just a mere pup as you would've mentioned Clive Thomas in that last sentance

Ooh, Clive. The players' mate! Remember two players that were having a go at each other and UN Secretary Clive got between them, arm in arm, he's yapping about Christian charity, loving thy neighbour, and the too of them are nutting each other across Clive's chest!

We think that Crappenberg feels that the entire game is about him, but there has been no bigger prima donna than Clive Thomas.

And then there was this one:

Leaving aside all other issues, how in the fuck is someone this fat employed as an official at the supposedly highest level?

And it might be one thing if he were highly-regarded as to other issues than fitness. Then one might imagine some of that sliding. But this fat twat routinely would poll up there with Howard ragg, Clattenbent, and Chris Foy as to "worst official in the EPL" surveys. Now that Howard is gone that makes this custard-gobbling card-happy twunt a clear top/bottom 3 choice.

No one will convince me that if he had awarded us a pen for handball, which I'd argue he should have (wasn't he the twat that penalised Micah for handball in LCSF v Dippers?), and Sergio had put us ahead that we would not have deserved the lead or that the game might well have had a very different outcome.
It might well have turned out differently but it might not.

He was indeed the twat who penalised Micah at Anfield (when the ball cannoned off his thigh onto his arm, which was across his chest) then indicated that Micah had handled it over his head. The only thing I'll say in his favour about the incident on Saturday was that he couldn't have really seen it clearly (but he should have been closer to the play) and the assistant was on the wrong side. I could see it clearly in 109 as it was right in front of us but I could also see what should have been a penalty in the second half for the foul(s) on Aguero and that was down at the other end.

No doubt about his overbearing ego but I don't recall him ever really hurting City. The ones that stuck out for me in that era were:

Gordon Hill (not the ex-rag player) - Twice!
1. Blew for HT just as Frannie was putting the ball in the net at Maine Rd to make it 2-0 against the rags, we won 4-0 anyway so not too important.
2. Failed to spot an Arsenal defender punch the ball off the line at Highbury - "the sun was in my eyes"

D.Civil - blew for full time at Derby just as Dennis Tueart's shot was heading into the net to make it 2-2.

And of course, Alf Grey and his bent shenanigans in the League Cup SF 1st leg at Maine Rd against Liverpool.

Just listened to 5 mins of Talksport - they had Graham Poll on to discuss the contentious refereeing decisions at the weekend...except they said there wasn't any at all and haven't the refs improved since Christmas. However, during the cosy chat with Poll he did say that Aguero should have had a penalty! Didn't even mention the handball incident. Tossers!!!

You know why? Our manager doesn't complain whinge and moan or call referees fat! That gets headlines that gets the media to talk print and write online articles...

I fancy that if Pellers adopted a Ferginho stance to referees he would be labelled as a whinging South American who doesn't understand the nature of the English game, along with all sorts of epithets about sporting and non-sporting behaviour. We would also get Pulis, Redknapp, Lambert and Bodgers being asked at their next press conference what they think about managers having a go at referees. They would all have been converted the day before and become overnight choirboys. Pellers would also be charged, fined, and sent to the stands for an indeterminate length of time!

Yeah, I'm willing to almost let him off on the handball, neither he nor his linesman could have really seen what happened from where they were (which is, in some way, Dowd's own fault as his positioning wasn't great). The Aguero one though was criminally negligent, he was barged in the back, pure and simple. It's a penalty. If it had happened in the middle of the pitch he'd have given it without hesitation. I said at the time, in the same way as the guy who booked Aguero for diving didn't, and the one who didn't give us 3 penalties (2 for fouls on Aguero) didn't, he's not taken into account the player involved. Aguero, clearly if you actually understand and watch football, doesn't dive. In fact he tries to stay on his feet, to the detriment of his own cause at times. So when he hits the deck having had a defender clambering all over him, then it's a penalty.
