Abramovich intended it to go 50/50 Ukraine/Russia war relief. So if they were to sell the club for the reported 3bn, and that money couldn't go to Abramovic - where exactly would such a large amount end up?
I dont think they are allowed to sell anything as things stand. In my humble opinion, this will be resolved in the next few weeks. Whereas, they will be able to sell matchday tickets, merchandise, refreshments in the ground etc etc and just hold the money in ESCROW account ready to flow into the new owners when that happens.
As soon as categoric proof is obtained that Abramovich is not going to gain any monies from the sale and the powers that be will control the flow of monies and where they go dont forget, then the sanctions will be lifted as Chelsea FC is an ongoing business and lucrative enough to have some very wealthy buyers lined up to purchase it, albeit the 3BN pounds that i have seen quoted seems rather high........ but what do i know!
No they can't, Chelsea can't sell tickets full stop. They'd have to buy them on the sly.Away teams derive no financial benefit from ticket sales so their fans will be able to get tickets.
