Dressing Room Unrest? (updated: Mirror report pg 14)

Re: Dressing Room Unrest?

the op raises a good point. there is quite clearly something wrong. these are good players and to have so many out of sorts is worrying. mancini all over again.

Re: Dressing Room Unrest?

Its been visible a few times in the past, usually after we've had a defeat and are struggling against a team we're expected to defeat. Much the same in the Sunderland game last year after we'd also lost at anfield.

Anyone who doesn't acknowledge the nature of these arguments, and thinks they are somehow good, need to take the blue tinted specs off. Like someone said its just like Mancini's final season again, the players deep down know this manager has run his course and have lost a bit of commitment to him. We don't see this sort of bickering at any point during the title winning seasons.

That one between Aguero and Silva quite early on when Silva overhit his pass to Aguero was worrying. It doesn't make us look a unified team singing from the same hymn sheet.

As a slight aside, did anyone else notice how much Toure was shouting at Fernando in the first half, to move into different positions to receive a pass etc? Demichelis doing it too in the 2nd half. In previous games I've noticed players ignoring Fernando when in possession. Unsurprisingly, I don't think they rate him either.

Good? No, nobody argues when results and performances are great so they're not good. Normal? Yes.

This may well be that Fernando doesn't make himself available nor look like he actually wants to receive the ball. Causes our players frustration who need him to be close by or run into space to get the attack moving. He sits too deep when we have possession so the attacking move isn't fluid hence they bypass him. With Fernandinho he makes himself available for Yaya when Silva and Nasri isn't an option. Fernando isn't attack minded hence his lack of forward movement to help out the attack.

In a nutshell he`s just shit.

Re: Dressing Room Unrest?

What a shit thread , i would be more concerned if players were just going through the motions and showing no passion , if you have played the game at any level , their are many occasions when you disagree with team mates.

MODs do move or delete this if it's inappropriate, I don't want it to be deemed sensationalist or shit stirring, but personally I think it's worth a discussion in its own topic as it's something a lot of people have picked up on in the match day forum and manager topic.

Does anyone else think there is unrest in the dressing room? Kompany's form and demeanour, Silva and Aguero arguing tonight, Silva storming off down the tunnel again, Nasri being dropped etc.

Something doesn't seem right. BUT it could quite conceivable be just the pressure of losing ground in the race for the title.

Thoughts?

Silva and Aguero have been arguing for weeks.

I mentioned it on here a few weeks back how taken aback I was at Sergio giving Dave stick. It must have happened in every game since.

Perhaps, they have always done this, and it's only in difficult situations in terms of results, that frustrations can be also be then interpreted as unrest.

They are both winners.

I can't say I've noticed it that much, but last night they ran into each other after about a minute, and Aguero spent much of the night in Silva's space. To me it didn't look like arguing, more discussion. Yaya and Demechelis frustrated with Fernando ? Not really surprising, 44,000 others were too, its a long time since I've seen a player put so much effort into avoiding a football, as he did in the first 45 minutes yesterday, improved second half, but unlikely he could have got worse.

This happened also with Javi Garcia. He was never involved in the play when moving out of defense. The ball always passed him by. Every so often, there were periods of play where he would take some responsibility and take the ball forward, and this made him look a better player.

Maybe Fernando just sticks to his role as the defensive midfielder and wants to leave the attacking to others

Poor Fernando,he gets some right shit on here.

At times he was the only midfield player we seemed to have when Leicester had the ball coming onto our goal.

I would love to hear an opposition team talk before anyone plays us.....look Yaya wont run back, neither will Silva, neither will Nasri.Push onto their back 4.

Some of you need to leave of Fernando.
