Reckon we will meet at Spoons in either Hazel Grove or Stockport, grab some breakfast and a beer then set off for Sheffield and go all the way down the M1, few breaks on the way down there for a beer and to split the journey up then hopefully get there about 1ish?

Anyone else driving down from Stockport?

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit...not enough posts
Were getting the offy coach from the stadium.. and I have a couple of questions..
Can you leave your car in the stadium car park and pick it up on your return
Do these coaches have toilets
do they search you when you get on... thinking of a cheeky hip flask or something
thanks

We're looking at going down the m1, but looking at the route for the west side of the stadium the m6/m40 is better but dont want to meet a load of them lot, just wandering if any1 else is doing the m6/m40 route. Cheers guys

Thing is we are setting off from glossop so m1 will be easier, but wanted a service station with more blues than rags in...............

Driving down from New Mills near Glossop and Stockport. Probably set off around 10am and go via M6.

Planning to park in Harpenden get a train, and tube to Wembley Park tube.

yes to all 3 questions, car parking will be available at stadium, think you will need to use North Car Parks, loo's on coaches and yes they will search, coaches with drunks on board will be turned back by police, so whole coach would miss out. They also want photo id and your ticket before you get on

I'm driving down and it has been suggested by various people to park in Stanmore or Harpenden or Edgeware. Anyone got any experience of these places and got any advice
cheers

Bluesteve, I parked at Stanmore a couple of years ago for an England game, was a doddle. Car park at the station with parking on nearby roads if full. It was great for getting away, I was in my car and on the motorway before the coaches had got off the car park. No experience of the other places mentioned.
