IF,and I say IF,drogba did come to city,I genuinely think him and aguero up front would be deadly,the service drogba would get from our midfield,would see him IMO score 25+ in a season,given enough starts.I ain't slagging dzeko off,as for me he was great last season,but given the chances he had,I think drogba would of converted more.

Drogba would be free though, if Negredo is going to be out for 3 months then it would make sense to bring in Drogba on a short term contract for cover. No fee - just wages. Only problem is we need to free up a space for Mangala, two would have to leave for Drogba to come in or maybe we could leave out Negredo until Jan ?

Not for me even as temporary backup, as far as I am concerned if we are going with the same four strikers as last year we really don't need them all until the COC, FA cup, CL all kick in which is Octoberish time, hopefully a couple of weeks later Negredo should be back and fresh. Always dificult during first couple of months finding enough games so that everyone can hit match fitness. The real benefit of a squad comes during Christmas and the winter months when CL re starts which is in Feb time.

There's no way city are considering this unless they have all gone insane. Chelsea haven't had a decent striker for years and even they wouldn't keep him. Long past his best and a diving bastard to boot.
