Dublin stabbings / violence

He’s an old, cynical bloke that hides his views behind humour in my opinion.

That’s irrelevant though as it’s only my opinion.

All he’s done on this thread is try to protect the far right‘s reputation, which is just odd.
I’ll never pretend to know how others think but like you I’ve been on here long enough to make a judgement on a poster.
I don’t always get it right but over the 10yr+ I’ve been here I’ve got a decent record.

I‘d never need for anyone to have the same opinion as me. I’ll call it as I see it. So do you and everyone else.

Never had Eire down as a hot bed of far right loony's, when did all this begin.
When people took Twitter and Whatapp as gospel without proper judgement.

This seems to have very little with immigration, yet it’s gone off because “it’s a foreigner stabbing our kids.”

You can pigeonhole that into whatever political group you want to.

I've worked over there and the majority are/were sound just wondered why there's so many pissed off blokes now can't all be down to twitter, that said ain't my country up to them sort out.

Ireland is a complex mix of people. 25% of the population live in County Dublin and almost 10% in and around Dublin City. So these sort of situations will only happen in Dublin mainly, where the majority live. Do not shoot the messenger here but I hear people complaining about illegal immigrants flooding into the country and getting benefits that are denied to local people. I heard when Ukrainians were first brought to Ireland and given jobs in the country they did not want jobs there and left to go back to the city. Mix all this together with social media, hot headed disenfranchised youth and you have the explosive situation you see tonight. This is not an opinion it is what I am told by people I know who live in Dublin City and the country, so as I said don't shoot the messenger.

Hopefully the victims of the stabbings recover soon and the scumbag who did it gets a long sentence.

Also hopefully any rioters stop the nonesense but protest peacefully if they genuinely have a grievance.

And hopefully it's a long time before I have to visit Dublin. Might as well be Timbuktu to me.
