there is a train leaving piccadilly at 9.15 on the sunday morning that gets into Dundee at 13.50 , is anyone getting this and is it a bit too close for comfort for a 4 o'clock kick off . theres also a return train about 11ish that gets back to town about 6 on monday morning so you can sleep on the train and not have to pay for digs

Dundee is not Sao Palu its not going to take you 130 mins to cross the city and get to the ground so no its not to close for comfort

a total trip of : 2.3 mi - about 6 mins

There used to a train running from Penzance which ended at Dundee, maybe still is. I think you had to leave on the Thursday if you wanted to arrive on the Saturday :-)

Think he means train arrives 15:49. Taxi job should get you to Dens Road for kick off.

Yeah at 150,000 people we're not quite Sao Paulo, with the exception of the odd riot though lol ;-)

No joking apart you should be giving a welcoming reception from us and most Dee's would be happy to give you directions should you need them.

There's a big Taxi rank outside the Railway Station and you should be able to find a Taxi outside the Bus Station if your travelling by coach. Should only take 10 mins max and cost no more than a tenner from there. But, it should only take 30 mins if you are brave enough to walk the steep incline to the ground from the City Centre that's known locally as the Hulltoon . Dens and Tannadice Park are at the top and you should see the floodlights as you approach the grounds...

In the unlikely event you cant find a taxi and fancy a bit of the local culture you can always bus it. The 1a, 1b and 22 all go close to the ground and will cost you no more than two quid to get the stadium. Journey takes 15 mins max.

Getting to Dundee can also be done by National Express although like the train for some reason its cheaper going by Glasgow first then onto the city rather than booking directly. Manchester to Glasgow by coach at the moment is £9.50 single(on the 12th) then should only cost about a further £7 or so to Dundee by train single-fare if booked in advance.

As mentioned on another post there is a cheap Travelodge nearby the ground and plenty pubs in the area....any questions about the game, just give me a shout on the post. We look forward to having you -and hopefully a strong Man City squad and support in spite of the WC ;-)
