More likely they didnt like it when we sunk their navy in WW2'Cos their governments have always been duplicitous, dissembling bastards. They've never got over the battering they took at Waterloo!

A pretty central aim too. Some of the other countries you menation supported Jewish deportation - and with domestic police. Isn't that supporting the aims of the Nazis?

Yes, of course it is, as I've said collaboration would be present in all occupied countries, France actually formedSome of the other countries you menation supported Jewish deportation - and with domestic police. Isn't that supporting the aims of the Nazis?
Very true, the war time activites of the Vichy French government still divides France even today, the Vichy government even formed their own paramilitary police called the Milice, they were notorious collaborators who the Gestapo and SD used to do their dirty work in rounding up members of the French resistance, British SOE and American OSS agents working in FranceYes, of course it is, as I've said collaboration would be present in all occupied countries, France actually formed
a government with the aims of complicit acceptance of Nazi policy.
We sank their ships even before the Vichy government was formed, let alone embraced Nazi policy. Stop reading stuff back into situations.Which, because of the total embracing of Nazi policy by the sitting government made it highly
probable that the French navy would be used against British forces. Churchill, quite rightly, ordered the British navy to destroy it.
I've got to agree,it was slightly disappointing in terms of its impact.Im not sure I enjoyed the IMAX experience either. The film did not convey the desperation well imo, the whole film felt very shallow. Sad as it could be the greatest movie ever made if they did it right.
